Terms

What you're agreeing to when you book a class. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

Booking a class

A booking is confirmed when your payment completes through Stripe and you receive a confirmation email. Each booking covers one seat for one named guest. If a session fills at the exact moment you check out, we refund you automatically and in full rather than overbook the room.

All classes are 18 and over.

Cancellations & refunds

Cancel 48 hours or more before your session for a full refund. Just reply to your confirmation email.

Inside 48 hours we can't refund, because by then your materials are bought, cut, and portioned for your seat. But your seat is transferable to anyone you like, right up until class starts: email us their name.

A no-show works the same way as a late cancellation: no refund, but if a friend can take your seat, send them.

Classes are held indoors, apart from the sun-exposure step of Cyanotype Sun Printing, which runs on our patio. If we ever call off a session, whether for weather, instructor illness, or anything else on our end, you choose between a full refund and a seat in the rescheduled session.

Safety

Some classes use sharp tools, hot equipment, or open flame. Follow your instructor's safety directions, wear what the class page tells you to wear (closed-toe shoes where noted), and let us know before class about anything we should accommodate. We may ask you to sign a liability waiver at check-in for certain classes.

Instructors may pause any guest's participation for unsafe behavior; no refund is owed in that case.

Gift certificates

Gift certificates never expire and are redeemable toward any class booking. They aren't redeemable for cash except where Washington law requires it.

Private events

Private sessions are quoted per group. A quote becomes a booking when the deposit stated in it is paid; the balance is due one week before the event unless your quote says otherwise.

Liability

Craft work is hands-on and carries inherent risk. To the extent permitted by Washington law, you participate at your own risk, and the Guild's liability for any claim related to a class is limited to the amount you paid for that class.

The fine print

These terms are governed by Washington State law. If we update them, the new version applies to bookings made after it's posted. This version is effective July 15, 2026.
