Do I need experience?

No. Every class is designed for complete beginners. If a class builds on prior skill, we say so in the description.

What is your cancellation policy?

Full refund if you cancel 48 hours or more before your session. No refunds for same-day cancellations, but you can transfer your spot to someone else. Just email us.

Can I bring a friend who isn't registered?

No. Class sizes are capped for a reason. If your friend wants to join, they need to book their own spot. We often run back-to-back sessions so there's usually another date available.

Are your classes appropriate for kids?

All classes are 18 and over for now. We may open select classes to younger makers with a participating adult in the future. Join the interest list and you'll hear when that happens.

When should I arrive?

Come about ten minutes before the start time so you can find your seat and settle in. We start on time, and the first few minutes are usually the demonstration everything else builds on.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Almost nothing changes. Classes are held indoors, with one exception: Cyanotype Sun Printing steps out to our patio for the sun exposure itself, since sunlight is what develops the print. If weather ever forces us to call off a session, you choose between a full refund and a seat in the rescheduled one.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies?

Our classes use craft materials, not food, but some classes involve beeswax, lanolin wool, and essential oils. If you have sensitivities, email us before booking and we'll let you know if a class is a good fit.

Can I book a private group event?

Yes. Reserve a studio buyout of any Founding Curriculum class for a group of any size, or book a capped Premium Experience (Lost-Wax, Stained Glass) for 6–8. Visit the Private Events page to send an inquiry.

How do gift certificates work?

Gift certificates are available in any dollar amount and are redeemable on any class booking. They don't expire. The recipient gets a unique code to enter at checkout.

Where are you located?

Anacortes, Washington, on Fidalgo Island. Every class meets at 1904 Commercial Ave, and the address is in your confirmation email too.

What if a class is sold out?

Join the interest list on the class page and tell us which classes you want. When spots open or new sessions are scheduled, interest-list members hear first, before dates are posted publicly.
